Reading the marks on our tubs

Every box and tub shows the volume in millilitres or grams. Ingredients appear in descending order by weight until the one percent mark. Look for the small open jar symbol on the label. The number inside tells you how many months the formula stays fresh after you unseal it.

Storing your jars and bottles

Keep your jars in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. Always close the lid tight after each use. A steamy bathroom shelf is warm and damp, which breaks down emulsions and invites moisture into open tubs. A bedroom drawer or a dry cabinet works much better.

Testing a new product on skin

Introduce one new product at a time so you know what causes changes. Dab a small amount on your inner arm or behind your ear first. Wait a day to see how the area reacts. Rinse the spot and stop using the cosmetic if your skin turns red, itches or stings.
